Main Task: Mock music magazine work - Contents page mock up

These are my contents page, I have included ideas of things that may be added: these ideas were taken from existing magazines E.G: NME, Kerrang.
However with these pages, I have decided to do three different styled ones. The first one doesn't feature things such as regulars. The second one contains regulars and the third one contains just the basic page numbers with the stories.
The colour of the contents pages relate to the cover because the colours are the same. In my Muse styled contents, the colour is grey, this is the same colour as the cover page.

 

I've asked two peers on what their opinions are on these contents pages, this is what they said:

Peer one said the contents follow the same pattern, E.G: the way the different section are sectioned off. Also they commented on the way the colour links to the cover page.

However the peer also commented on aspects of the contents that were not so good. The peer commented on how the text on the Muse cover clashes with the dark grey of the background, he also said that the Muse and the Arctic Monkeys contents pages looked quite crowded due to the information being close together.

The second peer commented on the way the covers are lay out, the Muse and the Arctic Monkeys cover look like a professional due to their layout and content which is on the page.
